Adoption FAQs

Have questions about adopting from us?
Here’s what to know before applying.

What’s included in the adoption fee? Our adoption fee helps cover essential veterinary care for each dog, including required vaccines, a wellness exam to ensure overall health, and spay/neuter surgery. These steps help make sure every dog goes home healthy, safe, and ready for their next chapter.

How long does approval take? If you’re approved, we strive to respond within 48 hours. Please keep in mind that we are an all-volunteer rescue, and every application is carefully reviewed to ensure the best possible match for each dog. We truly appreciate your patience.

What do I need to be approved? To be considered for adoption, you must complete an adoption application. All pets currently in the home must be up to date on vaccinations and preventatives and spayed or neutered, unless there is a documented medical reason provided by your veterinarian.

Can we meet dogs before applying? We regularly host adoption events where you can meet some of our available dogs. Because we are a foster-based rescue, we do not have a physical shelter where all dogs can be visited. We encourage adopters to apply first, and once approved, we’ll schedule a meet-and-greet with the dog(s) you’re interested in.

Where do you adopt to? We primarily adopt within Palm Beach County and surrounding areas. Adoptions outside our immediate area may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Still have questions?

We’re happy to help! Feel free to send us a message or submit an adoption application, and a volunteer will get back to you as soon as possible.
